About the position

The Application Sales Engineer role at Actalent involves supporting customers in the sizing and selection of products and engineered solutions based on application-specific data. The position requires preparing technical and commercial proposals, managing sales activities for product lines, and maintaining relationships with key accounts. The engineer will also oversee engineering bid packages and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with sizing and selection of products and engineered solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for customers.
• Interact with assigned key accounts and manage sales activity for product lines.
• Work on key account-related statistics and develop these.
• Handle quotes and supporting documentation, following up with customers and after-sales communication.
• Act as a Project Manager on engineering bid packages/orders, overseeing projects from start to end.
• Provide technical and commercial support to regional managers and representatives.
• Become familiar with relevant Safety and Design standards, including ISO, API 2000, API 2521, NFPA 68, 69, 30, and 497.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in inside sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of products and engineering solutions.
