About the position

The Application Security Engineer / Cyber Security Engineer role is focused on ensuring the security of applications within the banking and financial services industry. This position involves conducting security assessments, providing consulting to development teams, and implementing secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to solve complex security issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DAST/SAST/SCA scans to identify vulnerabilities in applications.
• Provide security consulting to development teams, addressing issues related to data access, integrity, confidentiality, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate security defects.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of secure SDLC methodologies.
• Participate in threat analysis and risk assessments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application security and cyber security.
• Expertise in Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in application security.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Capable of identifying and managing complex issues.
• Application security experience in the banking/financial services industry.
• Hands-on experience with secure coding practices.
• Knowledge or experience with bug bounty programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with specific DAST tools.
• Proficiency with specific SAST tools, including Black Duck.
• Experience implementing secure SDLC methodologies.
• Knowledge of threat analysis and risk assessment.
