About the position

The Application Security Internship at Teradata is designed for students pursuing degrees in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology. This role involves working closely with the Application Security team to enhance the security of Teradata's software development lifecycle (SDLC). Interns will engage in meaningful projects that focus on automating security processes and ensuring applications are secure from inception through release. The internship is fully virtual and lasts 10-12 weeks, providing a flexible and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with Application Security Engineers to secure Teradata's software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Assist in reviewing findings from SAST, SCA, DAST, IaC, and Container scanning tools.
• Assist in identifying and developing ways to improve Application Security's processes.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology BS/MS/PhD degree program.
• Graduation dates between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Have coding experience.
• Passion for securing software.
• Knowledge of core application security principles, common security vulnerability classes, their root causes, and mitigations.
