About the position

The Application Security Engineer role focuses on ensuring the security of applications through various testing and integration practices. The engineer will be responsible for implementing security measures within the software development lifecycle and utilizing cloud security technologies to protect resources. This position requires a strong understanding of application security tools and practices, as well as proficiency in programming languages relevant to security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application security testing using tools like BurpSuite and ZAP.
• Integrate security linting tools, SAST, or DAST into CI pipelines as part of DevSecOps practices.
• Implement automated solutions for Cloud Security Posture Management.
• Design and implement security measures to block malicious traffic in cloud environments.
• Assess vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, JavaScript/NodeJS, or Python.
• Experience with application security testing tools like BurpSuite and ZAP.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security tools into CI pipelines.
• Strong understanding of AWS Cloud Technologies and Solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of vulnerabilities and their assessment.
