Palantir Technologies is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. The Application Security Team plays a vital role in ensuring the security of our products, which support important work in defense, intelligence, and commercial applications. This position is crucial as we protect mission-critical information against advanced persistent threats. In this role, you will be hands-on and have a wide-ranging impact on the security of Palantir. You will conduct product security reviews, performing full-scope assessments of our current and future product and service portfolio, including whitebox, greybox, and blackbox assessments. Collaborating with offensive security teams, engineering teams, and other members of the InfoSec organization, you will work to harden our products against dedicated adversaries. As the security subject matter expert, you will assist product architects and engineers in threat modeling, risk assessment, and implementing security controls to address identified issues, ensuring our products are secure-by-default. You will also own strategic security initiatives that have a transformational impact across the company. This includes implementing software supply chain security controls, developing new security services, and addressing massive-scale security problems. Your responsibilities will extend to identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities, utilizing static and dynamic code analysis, security scanning, and collaborating with our incident response team on product security issues. This role offers significant autonomy and the resources to make substantial security improvements across Palantir, requiring curiosity, tenacity, and a drive to excel as a security engineer.
