About the position

The Application Security Engineer will play a crucial role in reducing code weaknesses and addressing security risks across the FinTech company. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to manage vulnerabilities and guide remediation efforts, ensuring the security of applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive reduction of weaknesses in code.
• Work with stakeholders across all business units to address security risks.
• Manage the vulnerability management program for the organization.
• Provide guidance on remediation efforts based on multiple vulnerability sources.
• Communicate effectively with developers to resolve security issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years in application security or software development; 3+ years at large enterprise scale.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript, Swift).
• Experience with 2+ application security tools (SAST, DAST, API security scanners, software composition analysis).
• Skilled in communicating with developers to address security issues.
• Knowledgeable in identifying and fixing common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, web and mobile app vulnerabilities).
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
