About the position

Randstad Digital is hiring an Application Security Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a contract position that offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $48.59 to $53.59. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, with at least 6 years of relevant experience. The role involves providing hands-on technical support for the Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platforms, ensuring that documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects process changes. The engineer will also be responsible for driving vendor accountability to address product defects and supporting patching and upgrade testing. Collaboration is key in this role, as the engineer will work closely with Product Owners, Application Security Champions, development team members, and offshore partners. Attention to detail is crucial, as the engineer will need to ensure that all documentation is current and reflects any changes in processes. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Application Security Engineer will consult on moderately complex initiatives within Information Security Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to deliverables. The role requires a solid understanding of Information Security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex technology integration issues. The successful candidate will also have robust verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platform
  • Drive vendor accountability to address product defects
  • Support patching and upgrade testing

  • Ensure documentation is current and reflects process changes and have an eye for detail
  • Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering
  • Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables

Requirements

  • 6+ years of application security experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile and Atlassian products such as JIRA/Confluence or equivalent
  • Good understanding of OWASP top 10
  • Robust verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology integration issues

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of cloud experience
  • 3+ years of scripting experience - Python
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
