About the position

The Application Security Intern at Paycom is responsible for supporting the Software Quality Engineer team by researching, analyzing, designing, and building automated tests. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance automated testing processes and ensure the quality of software applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Software Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams to analyze and use quality feedback and data to improve automated testing processes.
• Create automation test plans and get approvals.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD tools and pipeline (i.e. GitLab).
• Create, update, and maintain automated UI tests.
• Create, update, and maintain automated API tests.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to extend existing test automation frameworks and tools.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and document defects.
• Work closely with engineering and Software Quality Assurance to manage and improve the development pipeline.
• Perform and write automated functional, system, regression, and integration tests.
• Utilize internal automation tools to help teams achieve complete automation.
• Design and develop automated tests assigned.
• Verify the consistency of automated testing developed.
• Coordinate and communicate automated testing changes and their effects on the system.
• Work closely with Software Quality Assurance in identifying any issues that may arise on the test environments.
• Regular attendance as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S./M.S. degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Possess the ability to learn and understand business processes and the relationship of systems and applications used to accomplish those processes.
