About the position

The Application Software Developer - Journeyman role at CACI involves supporting the US CENTCOM at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL, by designing, developing, and maintaining various software applications and web services. The position requires a strong background in web development, software engineering, and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure that user needs are met while adhering to security compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design web infrastructure and develop software applications, including web applications and services.
• Conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in planning, design, and development.
• Determine user needs and prepare operating instructions and user guides.
• Ensure development meets software standards and security compliance.
• Architect, develop, and release custom software solutions and web-based application systems.
• Develop stored procedures for SQL Server databases.
• Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks, including maintaining web servers and troubleshooting issues.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure integration with IIS servers and configuration.
• Understand active directory authentication integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• 5+ years of experience as a web developer or software engineer.
• CompTIA certification for DoD 8570 compliance.
• Significant experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with infrastructure, active directory authentication, and group policies.
• Experience with application configuration, release, and deployment on web servers.
• Significant experience developing web applications and web services using ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript.
• Extensive web development experience using MVC, JSON, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Understanding of OAuth authorization services in ASP.Net 5 or 6.
• Extensive experience with SQL server development and TSQL.
• Experience with writing PowerShell Scripts.
• Knowledge of Information security for Web Site Administration as per Web Server Security Technical Implementation Guide.
• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design and n-tier development.
• Experience using Agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Desire experience with cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with git-based source control.
• Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
