About the position

The Application Support & Development Manager at Coast Professional, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the software development team and ensuring the smooth operation of daily functions within the organization. This role serves as a critical liaison between the software development team and other business departments, facilitating communication and prioritizing work based on business needs. The manager will provide guidance, training, and quality assurance for projects, while also managing business-critical systems and fostering collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the software development team and support daily functions of the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between the software development team and other business departments.
  • Provide training on Coast production systems and operational processes.
  • Lead quality assurance for processes and changes in response to business needs.
  • Conduct systems analysis and consult with users to determine functional specifications.
  • Provide input on project decisions regarding timelines, resources, and priorities.
  • Stay updated on current technologies and share relevant information with the team.
  • Respond to escalated requests from Software Development staff and provide guidance.
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Continuously improve operations and streamline work processes for quality customer service.
  • Partner with business units to enhance workflows and business practices.
  • Import and export data, performing data cleansing as necessary.
  • Develop user and functional requirements for software and workflow changes.
  • Keep business and IT staff informed of productivity objectives and concerns.
  • Manage service desk queues and respond to tickets in a timely manner.
  • Attend and lead various project meetings and performance reviews.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely data delivery.
  • Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures according to company standards.
  • Support client implementation projects and manage major change efforts.
  • Achieve operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans and implementing standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience managing project timelines and coordinating across departments.
  • Minimum of two years managerial experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Access.
  • Experience in Artiva, Foundations, System Administration, Data Structures, Scripts, and file processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages, databases, and quality assurance methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to effectively lead and coach teams to achieve goals and objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Crystal Report knowledge is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of FACS and Collection Operations is preferred.
