About the position

The Application Support Engineer for Oracle Flex Cube will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle Flexcube applications. This role requires extensive experience in application support, particularly with Oracle Flexcube, and involves working with various messaging tools, job scheduling, and monitoring tools. The engineer will collaborate with other technology teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with Unix/Power Shell scripting
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Requirements

  • 7-11 years' experience in an Application Support role
  • Experience in Oracle Flexcube with good knowledge of Core Account Batches and Interfaces
  • Experience or knowledge of messaging tools such as Kafka, EMS, Fuse, and Talend administration
  • Experience in troubleshooting and setting up new configurations in NDM, MQ, FTP, Kafka, and SFTP file transmission
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Good understanding of ITRS Monitoring, Kibana, AppDynamics, and Splunk
  • Experience with job scheduling tools like Autosys
  • Working experience in Oracle Database, including restores, backups, and performance tuning
  • Good understanding of DevOps tools like Jenkins or UCS-uDeploy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Knowledge/experience of problem management tools
  • Proficient in SQL using Oracle and SQL Server DB
  • Java web application support experience, especially with WebSphere/Tomcat/Weblogic environment
  • Experience supporting Java web applications using Openshift (Containers), Couchbase, and MongoDB
  • Understanding of Content Delivery Networks like Akamai, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
  • Middleware exposure including NDM configuration experience, SFTP knowledge, and MQ configuration knowledge
  • Experience with monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos, Kibana, AppDynamics, and Splunk
  • Experience with scheduling jobs using Autosys
  • Experience with Scrum methodologies and JIRA
