About the position

The Application Support Engineer role at TEKsystems involves providing technical support and administration for key applications that impact the entire organization. This position requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, the ability to lead through influence, and experience in diagnosing application issues and implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design innovative technical solutions.
• Develop end-to-end architectures that align with business objectives, technical requirements, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate internal ERP opportunities as a first solution option and steer solutions to leverage internally negotiated system modules.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in proposed architectures and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementations within deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of solutions.
• Implement solutions that comply with IT-related policies and Marmon IT Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs).
• Experience with EDR, MDR, and Spam Filtering software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with application design and administration for Print & other applications (Checkpoint & BarTender preferred but not required).
• ERP engineering/admin experience required; hands-on EPICOR experience is not mandatory but must be willing to become proficient once hired.
• Ability to diagnose application issues, build remediation strategies, and create a knowledgebase.
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an IT/development related role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities.
• Design and development experience in data and analytic applications such as PowerBI, Tableau or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, WMS, with Epicor experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze business and IT trends and provide solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical partners.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred certification in cybersecurity.
• Working knowledge of EDI processes.
