About the position

The Application Support Engineer is responsible for providing ongoing support for business applications in a healthcare environment. This role involves hands-on trouble ticket support, engineering solutions, and collaborating with IT staff and third-party vendors to ensure the effective operation of applications such as Office 365, Box, Zoom, Adobe, and OneDrive. The engineer will also evaluate and recommend new collaboration tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 application support for assigned systems, logging and tracking issues to resolution.
  • Configure, maintain, and support collaboration platforms including Zoom, O365, Teams, OneDrive, Adobe, and Box.
  • Manage Box user accounts, permissions, and access control to ensure security and data integrity.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize collaboration platforms.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and develop documentation, policies, and procedures for applications.
  • Assist in planning and executing large-scale virtual events or webinars using Teams and Zoom.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in administering and managing collaboration tools and platforms.
  • Strong technical skills in collaboration software such as Microsoft Teams, Box, OneDrive, Zoom, and Slack.
  • Knowledge of IT security and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with migrating data from Box to OneDrive.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, iOS, and MAC.
