About the position

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for an Application Support Engineer in Richmond, VA. The role involves reviewing and interpreting project design documents, enhancing product knowledge of MTU and power equipment, and providing technical support to the Sales/Project Management Team. The engineer will also be responsible for developing technical drawings and one-line diagrams for project designs, ensuring effective communication with internal and external partners, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret project design documents and scope of work.
  • Enhance product knowledge of MTU and power equipment.
  • Initiate, coordinate, procure and assemble technical submittal documents for channel review and approval.
  • Develop, modify, or procure technical drawings for onsite coordination of interconnects or conduit layouts.
  • Learn and understand advanced concepts of building electrical distribution systems.
  • Provide technical support to Sales / Project Management Team.
  • Develop, modify, or procure one-line diagrams for project designs.
  • Be the communication hub for internal/external partners.
  • Align project schedules to meet customer and project expectations.
  • Coordinate quality up to date opportunity data using Salesforce.
  • Weekly coordination with sales/project management team for application support and submittal duties.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the power industry and 3-phase power.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • High level of productivity output.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize demands.
  • Respond effectively to changes in workload, schedules, and environment.
  • Engineering Degree preferred; Electrical or Mechanical related.
