About the position

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining applications, particularly in clinical systems and medical devices. This role serves as a technical lead, focusing on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues. It is a contract to permanent employment opportunity based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the coordination, implementation, and completion of specific clinical systems projects
  • Generate and distribute relevant documentation for ongoing support and knowledge management
  • Provide tier-two and tier-three support to other teams within the IT department
  • Work with outside vendors, service technicians, and other vendors to address problems both reactively and proactively
  • Document new and existing applications to clarify their inner workings and facilitate working alongside other programmers or technicians
  • Make proposals for, give presentations on, or conduct training sessions for new or existing systems
  • Research technologies and tools to provide information on their suitability for a task

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
  • Familiarity with Citrix Technologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with Dell Technologies
  • Understanding of Firewall Technologies
  • Understanding of Computer Hardware
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management
  • Knowledge of HL7 - Health Level 7 Technology
