About the position

The Application Support Specialist 2 is responsible for providing end-user support for banking software applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and managing support requests. This role involves troubleshooting software issues, implementing project initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to enhance software functionality and user experience. The specialist will also engage in systems analysis, compliance training, and contribute to process improvements within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end user software support for banking software applications via phone, email, and onsite.
  • Oversee the daily performance of banking software applications and resolve user inquiries.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful implementation and support of software applications.
  • Manage escalated support ticket requests and liaise with vendor support as needed.
  • Complete change management requests and represent changes according to policies and procedures.
  • Research and analyze issues surrounding processes and systems, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to software, creating workarounds when necessary.
  • Actively participate in small to medium project initiatives and releases, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Confer with clients to determine their information processing needs and adapt applications accordingly.
  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer and application server programs and systems.
  • Report compliance issues and adhere to bank policies, laws, and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in Loan Origination, Operations, Servicing, or Training.
  • nCino Commercial Loan Origination System Administrator Certification within 18 months of start date.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with financial system software.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts.
  • Hands-on vendor management experience related to support and issue management.
