About the position

The Application Support Specialist at Municipal Credit Union is responsible for managing and resolving application and system issues across the organization. This role requires proficiency in various financial applications and systems, as well as the ability to handle multiple high-level tasks under pressure. The specialist will act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring smooth operations and optimal workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the resolution of application and system issues across the business.
  • Function as the system administrator for managed applications.
  • Prepare maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for applications and systems, coordinating testing of new releases.
  • Manage alert monitoring for all ancillary applications and prepare communications to affected business units.
  • Consult with leaders and other professionals on workflow operations and optimization.
  • Act as the technical liaison between the vendor/service provider and the internal business unit.
  • Provide technical support to teams within the organization and external clients when required.
  • Assist with systems integrations.
  • Manage the ticketed query system and ensure the database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date.
  • Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Deliver regular and customized training to teams within the business.

Requirements

  • College degree in IT, Computing Studies, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Intimate knowledge of the organization’s systems: Symitar Episys Quest, Meridian Link LPQ, Meridian Link Xpress Accounts, Mortgagebot LOS & POS, Finastra Servicing Director, Prologue, Synergy, Alkami, Image Center.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extraordinary customer service and relationship management experience.
  • Critical thinking skills.
