About the position

The Application System Technical Analyst-Staff position at Intermountain Health focuses on the Revenue Cycle Front End team, responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of EHR registration and scheduling information systems. This role requires a staff-level professional with comprehensive knowledge of healthcare-related information systems, capable of functioning independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Document and recommend workflow changes and technical/functional designs to support business requirements.
  • Solve common and moderately complex issues, incidents, and problems according to service levels and IS Standards.
  • Configure, install, implement, monitor, and maintain systems with moderate complexity.
  • Acquire and maintain understanding of the technical and functional architecture of assigned systems.
  • Understand security and compliance requirements and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the creation and management of project plans, meeting deadlines or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Test applications, systems, and configurations for projects of moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in training peers, end-users, and other IS team members.
  • Develop training and knowledge-based materials for peers and end-users.
  • Implement communication plans to all stakeholder groups.
  • Deliver an extraordinary customer experience when interacting with peers and end-users.
  • Maintain understanding of industry application/implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, clinical, or healthcare-related field from an accredited institution, or four years of equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in analysis, design, configuration, implementation, and support of business/financial or clinical information systems, or three years as an expert user of targeted systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Revenue Cycle Front end experience with understanding of Hospital and Clinic Scheduling and Registration processes.
