About the position

The Application System Technical Analyst-Staff position at Intermountain Health focuses on the Revenue Cycle Front End team, responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of EHR registration and scheduling information systems. This role requires a staff-level professional with comprehensive knowledge of healthcare-related information systems, capable of functioning independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Document and recommend workflow changes and technical/functional designs to support business requirements for common and moderately complex problems.
• Solve common and moderately complex issues, incidents, and problems according to agreed service levels and IS Standards, collaborating with peers, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Configure, install, implement, monitor, and maintain systems with moderate complexity, following documentation standards.
• Maintain a moderate understanding of the technical and functional architecture of assigned systems and integration.
• Understand security and compliance requirements, complying with all policies and procedures of assigned systems.
• Participate in the creation and management of project plans, meeting deadlines or escalating issues as necessary.
• Test applications, systems, and configurations for projects of moderate complexity according to IS standards.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in training peers, end-users, and other IS team members.
• Develop and implement communication plans for all stakeholder groups.
• Deliver an extraordinary customer experience when interacting with peers, end-users, and others.
• Maintain a moderate level of understanding of industry application/implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an information technology, clinical, or healthcare-related field from an accredited institution, or four years of equivalent experience in information systems, clinical, or clinical information systems.
• One year of experience providing analysis, design, configuration, implementation, and support of business/financial or clinical information systems, or three years as an expert user of targeted systems.
