About the position

The Application Systems Administrator will oversee the complete lifecycle of applications, ensuring their smooth and secure operation. This role involves maintaining application performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with IT teams to enhance system efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting for users via phone and remote desktop.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Monitor system performance and capacity, recommending improvements when needed.
• Test, debug, and deploy software in diverse environments.
• Develop and execute database queries and scripts to support applications.
• Manage routine maintenance and work closely with vendors for updates.

Requirements

• 4-6 years in supporting business-critical applications and back-end databases.
• 6+ years in IT support with a focus on complex troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to users at all levels.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to resolving potential issues.
• Proficiency in key scripting languages, particularly SQL and PowerShell.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases, with experience in supporting large-scale architectures.
• Solid troubleshooting experience with Windows Server OS.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and manage access with elevated credentials.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Automate, PowerAutomate, or UIPath.
• Experience with Linux server environments.
• Prior experience supporting banking applications and related systems.
