About the position

The Application Systems Analyst at Parkwest Bicycle Casino is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, maintaining, and developing software applications within the organization. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that applications are effective and meet business needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert for the development, proposal, implementation, and support of end service applications, databases, and computer software.
  • Work with stakeholders and end-users to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements for new applications or modifications to existing systems.
  • Configure and customize applications based on business needs and industry best practices.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure application functionality aligns with requirements.
  • Identify, document, and resolve application issues through testing and debugging.
  • Provide technical support for application-related incidents, working to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze current workflows and processes to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
  • Work to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and improve the overall user experience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users to maximize system utilization.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of programming and computer operations experience.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, database management, and software applications commonly used in the industry.
  • Expertise in Microsoft development environment.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Agile).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be accurate and have an attention to detail.
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with specific systems relevant to the industry (e.g., ERP, CRM systems).
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and exercise a high degree of professionalism.
