Application Systems Analyst/Programmer

About the position

Acts as the primary support contact for their Epic application in the Inpatient team. Designs, builds, and tests the system to achieve workflow requirements to meet end user needs. Provides computer technical expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of the computer system. Organizes and schedules a variety of major and/or complex computer system tasks, including programming, in a timely and proficient manner. Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UH staff and perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UH policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary support contact for the Epic application in the Inpatient team.
• Designs, builds, and tests the system to meet workflow requirements.
• Provides computer technical expertise and project management.
• Offers technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of the computer system.
• Organizes and schedules major and complex computer system tasks, including programming.
• Maintains good working relationships with co-workers and other staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field is required.
• Experience as an Epic application analyst preferred but not required.
• Experience specifically in Epic Inpatient systems applications preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience in an inpatient pharmacy preferred but not required.
• Work experience may be substituted for formal education requirement.
• Must successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment test.
