About the position

The Applications Analyst - Business position is responsible for supporting the core functions of EMC business applications to ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe patient care. This role involves implementing, administering, and supporting assigned business systems while collaborating with senior team members. The analyst will address complex issues, communicate effectively, and coordinate application support with various IT teams, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and support assigned business systems under guidance of senior team members.
• Address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity related to applications and workflows.
• Coordinate application support with IT teams including System Administrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and Help Desk.
• Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments.
• Act as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users, and IS technical personnel.
• Support departments during and post-implementation of assigned applications/systems.
• Analyze current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and financial outcomes.
• Perform written and oral project status reporting as requested.
• Facilitate communication between IS staff, vendors, and users to identify system needs and modifications.
• Troubleshoot issues and document for vendor resolution.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or experience in lieu of degree.
• Epic certification(s) required for those supporting an Epic application; must complete within 12 months of hire or transfer.
• Two to four years of experience in healthcare or information systems related positions.
