About the position

The Applications Analyst II - Epic at Hoag Clinic is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting various clinical, financial, and administrative information systems. This role ensures the integrity, safety, and availability of data and applications, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize system functionality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, implement, and support clinical, financial, and administrative information systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to optimize system configuration and access.
  • Evaluate problem tickets and service requests, and participate in timely resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application errors and system issues.
  • Lead the build and maintenance of system dictionaries, profiles, and configuration points.
  • Identify system enhancement requests and communicate them to the vendor.
  • Test system configurations, customizations, and new releases prior to production implementation.
  • Assist end-users with the design and testing of system reports.
  • Participate in system design, validation, and remediation sessions.
  • Support and develop interface files.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience with the application, module, or equivalent system of assigned functional area.
  • Epic Certification, preferably Epic Bridges Certification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably within an acute care environment.
