About the position

The Applications Analyst will play a crucial role in a collaborative team environment, focusing on the analysis, planning, integration, testing, debugging, configuration, support, and documentation of packaged system applications. This position requires a strong background in applications and business systems analysis, with responsibilities that include developing reports, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium size project initiatives through planning, scope definition, analysis, testing, and implementation.
• Implement, integrate, and provide administration and support for purchased software using department standard best practices.
• Develop and support SQL Server, including data troubleshooting, writing stored procedures, complex queries, and T-SQL script writing.
• Create PowerShell scripts and macros for system support; collaborate with QA, support personnel, and other teams on operational systems.
• Consult with users in the development of test programs using test data and appropriate files; review results with users.
• Participate in agile scrum teams on projects spanning internal development and product selection/acquisition/integration.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to execute small to mid-sized projects; coordinate communications between project team and business leaders.
• Compare advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives; manage self to Work Breakdown Structures with hours estimates.
• Interface with and manage vendor deliverables; act as liaison and primary point of contact for assigned systems/platforms.
• Provide application and system administration and support; coordinate with other IT services to implement and support applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in applications/systems including integrations, upgrades, configurations, management, and user support.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL Server Database including writing stored procedures and Transact SQL.
• Strong skills in SSMS and Active Directory.
• Experience with report writing; SSRS or PowerBI is a plus.
• Scripting language experience, preferably PowerShell, VB Script, or JavaScript.
• Experience with financial systems or billing systems such as Aderant or Elite is a plus.
• Experience with SSIS or ServiceNow would be a plus.
• Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral, as well as strong facilitation and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with report writing tools like SSRS or PowerBI.
• Knowledge of financial systems or billing systems such as Aderant or Elite.
• Experience with SSIS or ServiceNow.
