About the position

The Software Design Engineer 2 will play a crucial role in evolving the Xbox app by utilizing modern technologies such as React, React Native, and TypeScript. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that enhance the Xbox mobile ecosystem, particularly through the integration of Game Pass features. The role is part of a small, inclusive team that prioritizes engineering excellence and infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Help team implement UI/UX features for the Xbox Mobile App.
• Maintain and improve the quality of the app and related infrastructure.
• Manage bugs by reproducing, diagnosing, fixing, resolving and following up with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years experience required.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, though TypeScript is preferred.
• React or React Native experience.
• Familiarity with tools such as Node/NPM/Git.

Nice-to-haves

• Native Mobile development experience on Android or iOS, both are preferred but not a requirement.
