About the position

The Applications Developer 2 position within the State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) is designed for motivated IT professionals who are eager to engage in challenging and rewarding work. The role focuses on the development, modification, programming, and support of applications related to the State Employee Retirement Information System (SERIS). Candidates will work in a team-oriented environment, translating statutory requirements into system designs while applying best practices in information technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and support applications and components utilized by the State Employee Retirement Information System (SERIS).
• Translate statutory requirements into system design accurately.
• Collaborate with team members on multiple critical assignments.
• Apply information technology best practices in service of others.

Requirements

• One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3.
• Four years of IT experience including two years in applications development or maintenance.
• Two years of IT experience in applications development or maintenance, and an associate's degree in any IT field.
• A bachelor's degree in any IT field.
