About the position

The Applications Developer 2 position at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) involves advanced technical work in the support, development, and maintenance of the PLCB's Oracle Merchandise Foundation Cloud Services (MFCS), Cloud Financials (CFIN), and Store Inventory Management (SIM). The role requires interaction with various teams and financial institutions, focusing on the analysis, design, planning, development, testing, and documentation of significant components of the enterprise resource planning system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical work in the analysis, design, planning, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of the PLCB's enterprise resource planning system.
  • Establish and prioritize work assignments, implementing controls and procedures to ensure efficient and effective performance of responsibilities.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflow (RICEW) objects.
  • Monitor daily scheduled interfaces to and from application systems.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test scripts.

Requirements

  • One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or
  • Four years of information technology experience including two years in applications development or maintenance; or
  • Two years of information technology experience in applications development or maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
  • Two or more years of combined full-time information technology experience supporting major Oracle ERP applications such as Oracle Cloud Financial (CFIN) Systems, Oracle PeopleSoft ERP Systems, or SQL Systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and accounting processes.
