Responsibilities

  • Support desktop, web, and mobile applications development and maintenance.
  • Perform back-end web development of software applications.
  • Design and develop applications for the College, Veterinary Health Center, and Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to design and develop online applications for the CVM.
  • Gather project requirements and translate them into application features.
  • Develop technical documentation for projects.
  • Write application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Perform web and mobile design and development.
  • Design database schemas and develop stored procedures using TOAD for Oracle, MySQL, and Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Write SQL queries and views for efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Use programming languages and frameworks such as Java/JSP, C#/ASP.net MVC, Web API, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Java Spring, Angular, and CSS for application development.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors and improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in application development.
  • Experience in relational database management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, ASP.net, Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and PHP.
  • Familiarity with frameworks including .NET, ASP.net MVC, Java Spring, JQuery, and Angular.

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Project management skills and ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
