About the position

The Senior Advisor Applications Developer role focuses on providing enterprise IT infrastructure and legacy applications maintenance support to an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This position involves operations and maintenance, enhancements to legacy applications, and ensuring compliance with security and audit requirements. The role requires proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Java for web-based applications, and knowledge of various automation and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operations and maintenance support for enterprise IT infrastructure and legacy applications.
  • Enhance legacy applications by implementing bug fixes and adding new functionalities.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and audit requirements.
  • Utilize front-end and back-end programming languages for application development.
  • Collaborate with team members using work collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Manage procurement of hardware and software as needed.
  • Support disaster recovery efforts and maintain system integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of experience, or 10 years with a MS/MA, or 7 years with a PhD.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Strong Java programming skills for web-based applications.
  • Experience in AWS environment and knowledge of AWS managed DB services.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and server-side languages.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of network administration and security protocols.
  • Experience with Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, or Law Enforcement applications.
  • Familiarity with security domains related to IC, DoD, DHS, or FBI.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $176,000 - $282,000 based on experience and other factors.
