About the position

The Full-Stack Applications Developer at Nightwing is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that streamline operations and automate processes within the Intelligence Community. This role involves collaborating with IT mission partners to ensure that technology solutions align with customer architecture and requirements. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in software development, particularly in Java and related technologies, to create web services and APIs that enhance usability and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications as web services primarily using Java, Node.js, and Angular.
• Maintain and upgrade APIs and search functionalities with REST-like APIs.
• Interact with data stored in relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL, as well as cloud technologies like AWS.
• Utilize XML, JSON, and other standards for data transfer and metadata management.
• Improve search and website usability by leveraging enterprise capabilities and supporting legal mandates.

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with application frameworks such as Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS) and services like Lambda, SQS, RDS, S3, and SNS.
• Experience with web services (REST) and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and Linux environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end development using Angular 10.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Ability to visualize queried data into reports and dashboards.
