About the position

BAE Systems is seeking experienced Applications Developers to support a key government customer by delivering engineering services for network infrastructure and sophisticated enterprise computing. This role involves working with modern application technologies, including containerized solutions and multi-Cloud services, while also providing solutions for complex government programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing.
• Develop and maintain software applications using various programming languages.
• Implement secure coding standards and software development lifecycle processes.
• Manage requirements and configuration management tools.
• Integrate and debug applications using integrated development environments (IDE).
• Provide software maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing systems.
• Develop software tests and test-automation suites.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in software design patterns and Agile development processes.
• Experience with secure coding standards and configuration/change management systems.
• Familiarity with software languages such as Python, Ansible, and Java.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
• Understanding of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps).
• Integration experience with third-party applications.
