About the position

The Applications Developer at EthosEnergy Group will play a crucial role in enhancing the use and support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, as well as developing new applications to foster a more consistent and data-driven business environment. This position is based in Houston, TX, and is a full-time role that requires collaboration with various business stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of ERP systems. The developer will be responsible for supporting existing ERP applications, assisting end-users, and developing new modules and applications that align with the company's operational needs. In this role, the developer will partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional application designs. They will also be tasked with updating existing applications, maintaining data flows, and ensuring the security of IT&S systems during the development and rollout of new solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of workflow, application development, and third-party solutions, as well as the ability to evaluate and select appropriate options for implementation. The Applications Developer will also be expected to maintain a register of added value work and projects, participate in educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge, and contribute to other IT&S related projects as assigned. This role is essential for driving business effectiveness through technology and innovation, making it a key position within the IT&S team at EthosEnergy.

Responsibilities

• Support existing ERP business applications and end-users in the use of IT.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop new modules within ERP systems.
• Develop new applications and update existing applications.
• Maintain and administer data flows from existing systems.
• Work with peers to understand existing solutions and future directions.
• Evaluate and select options, implement, and support these solutions.
• Develop an understanding of workflow, application development, and third-party solutions.
• Collaborate with IT&S vendors and supervise their work as required.
• Understand IT&S systems security and its role within solution development and rollout.
• Participate as a team in supporting existing systems and the support ticket system.
• Maintain a register of added value work and projects with up-to-date status and target dates.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Contribute to other IT&S related projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 3-5 years direct experience in application development and/or ERP system administration.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of various IT platforms including Microsoft .net (c# & vb.net), DevExpress, SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML, Azure, data bricks, and enterprise planning systems (ERP).
• Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming and foundational understanding of database structures and management.
• Working knowledge of windows-based systems and the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Ability to translate business requirements from various disciplines into application design and implementation.
• Track record in working with the business supporting and implementing innovation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Epicor or iFlight ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
