About the position

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the Lifetime Sample Tracking Tool (LiST) to meet Q-NEXT data management requirements.
  • Establish a materials lifetime tracking database for processing, growth, synthesis, and characterization.
  • Provide tools for data input and materials tracking over time and relative to projects.
  • Ensure user-friendly access and input for various data models.
  • Develop API access for cohesive data structure to support project tracking and meta-studies.
  • Evaluate and enhance the LiST codebase for synergy with Q-NEXT and 2DCC objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Science and Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in web application and REST API development using languages such as C#, PHP, Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with domain science instrumentation or data related to Q-NEXT research.
  • Experience integrating with authentication systems like OpenID, JWT, OAuth, Shibboleth, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft tools via GraphAPI and cloud-based applications.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools for front-end and/or back-end.
