About the position

The Applications Development Engineer at KLA will focus on developing and implementing product applications for existing and pre-release products, ensuring maximum value for customers. This role involves supporting new product introductions, conducting product demonstrations, and providing technical training. The engineer will work closely with software and systems engineering teams to resolve issues and document findings to enhance product knowledge within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product applications for existing and pre-release products.
• Support projects related to new product introduction, including characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, and pilot tools during the ramp phase.
• Potentially assist in system development at customer sites.
• Perform product diagnosis and problem resolution, collaborating with software and systems engineering to verify issue resolution.
• Conduct customer product demonstrations and provide technical training, including on-site training for Field Applications Engineers and end users.
• Document all test results and lessons learned in Best Known Methods (BKMs), training documents, demo reports, or alpha/beta test reports.
• Generate demo and test reports for internal and customer review.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive projects with limited supervision.
• High energy, self-driven, and motivated individual with a strong team player attitude.
