About the position

As an Applications Development Engineer III, you will leverage your technical expertise to automate applications using advanced tools such as iFast, Python, and Machine Learning. Your role will also involve communicating customer needs to product development groups, ensuring that our solutions align with market demands and customer expectations. You will act as a customer interface for specific instrument and application issues, gaining a deep understanding of customer workflow needs and assisting them in applications development. In addition to your development responsibilities, you will provide customer support and applications training after instrument installation, ensuring that our clients are fully equipped to utilize our technologies effectively. Responsibilities

  • Initiate and drive new applications to automate dual beam microscope functionality for semiconductor customers
  • Automate applications using tools such as iFast, Python, and Machine Learning
  • Communicate customer needs to product development groups
  • Act as a customer interface for specific instrument/applications issues
  • Understand customer workflow needs and assist them in applications development
  • Provide customer support and applications training after instrument installation

Requirements

  • Education: Advanced degree in technical engineering or sciences preferred, or equivalent experience of at least 2-4 years
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability in a research or development environment with recent experience in small and/or wafer DB technology
  • Proven track record in a semiconductor processing or equipment environment
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as DualBeam, FIB, SEM, or similar
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and operational optimization
  • Experience with analytical equipment, specifically electron/ion microscopes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for a diverse audience
  • Strong customer interfacing skills
  • Proven ability to work well with multi-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25%; possession of a valid passport
