About the position

The Applications Engineer position at KLA is a critical role within the Broadband Plasma Division, focusing on providing market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for advanced integrated circuit manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with customers to ensure the effective adoption of KLA products, supporting both pre-sale and post-sale activities, and developing a deep understanding of customer processes and technology trends. The position is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth by delivering tailored solutions to complex problems in semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth expertise in product operation, applications, and customer processes.
  • Collaborate with critical customers to ensure KLA products are adopted and applied to their unique problems.
  • Support pre-sale activities including product demos, presentations, and technical papers.
  • Assist at trade shows to promote KLA products.
  • Provide post-sale support including customer training and understanding customer processes.
  • Develop new use cases for KLA products based on customer feedback.
  • Support internal customers such as service, engineering, and operations.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or related field, or Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform complex data/image analysis using data-analysis tools.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a balance between technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves
