About the position

As an Applications/Quoting Engineer at JR Automation Technologies LLC, you will collaborate with a talented team to develop accurate project quotes and budgets for custom integrated systems in the automation industry. This role involves generating innovative solutions, interacting with customers, and managing the proposal design process, all while ensuring technical alignment with sales and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Generate conceptual solutions for problems that have no previous or standard solution
• Interact with customers throughout requirements definition, concept generation, cost development, and presentation of the proposal
• Develop a comprehensive quote package that addresses all customer requirements
• Collaborate with the functional sales and management teams to ensure technical alignment
• Present concepts to customers highlighting competitive advantages
• Manage the internal proposal design process
• Travel to customers up to 25% of the time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or related industry experience
• 5+ years of industry experience leading successful projects, preferably in the automation industry
• Experience in quoting, sales, and/or customer interaction

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Electrical & Pneumatic controls design
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical design drawings
• Exposure to Salesforce.com preferred
