About the position

The Senior Applications Engineer at Aquatech will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for water scarcity and complexity through evaporation and crystallization technology. This position involves engaging with clients to understand their process needs, creating technical proposals, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful project execution. The role is essential in supporting business development initiatives and validating processes through pilot testing.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand and define their key process performance needs.
• Develop creative process designs incorporating evaporation and crystallization technology.
• Author technical proposals that clearly communicate value propositions and accurately define process performance.
• Prepare cost estimates for the proposed equipment scope.
• Participate in client meetings with the sales team as a technical expert.
• Create and deliver technical content to support business development initiatives.
• Participate in pilot testing programs for process validation.
• Complete engineering activities including heat & material balances, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, dimensional designs for pressure vessels and heat exchangers, and plant equipment layout.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during project execution, procurement, and start-up.
• Provide leadership to engineers on the application engineering team.
• Review process design work and cost estimates produced by engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree or related field equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with evaporation and crystallization technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude.
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
