About the position

The Applications Engineer at Aquatech will engage with clients to understand their process performance needs and develop innovative solutions using evaporation and crystallization technology. This role involves creating technical proposals, preparing cost estimates, and participating in pilot testing programs to validate processes. The engineer will collaborate with various teams during project execution and contribute to business development initiatives, all while working in a full-time capacity at the Hartland, WI office.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand and define their key process performance needs.
• Develop creative process designs incorporating evaporation and crystallization technology.
• Author technical proposals that clearly communicate value propositions and accurately define process performance.
• Prepare cost estimates for the proposed equipment scope.
• Participate in client meetings with the sales team as a technical expert.
• Create and deliver technical content to support business development initiatives.
• Participate in pilot testing programs for process validation.
• Complete engineering activities including heat & material balances, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, dimensional designs for pressure vessels and heat exchangers, and plant equipment layout.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during project execution, procurement, and start-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree or related field equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude.
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
