About the position

The Applications Engineer Consultant for Physical Verification at Siemens EDA plays a crucial role in managing technical engagements that support sales campaigns. This position involves working closely with customers and the sales team to assess technical requirements, develop and implement technical sales plans, and drive product adoption in customer projects. The consultant will leverage their advanced technical expertise to uncover new business opportunities and provide technical leadership throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Develop close relationships with customers to assess their technical requirements and implement technical sales plans.
• Drive product adoption in customer projects by creating methodologies and flows, including integration into customer environments.
• Uncover and qualify new business opportunities, communicating technical viability to the sales team.
• Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns to contribute to account technical business plans.
• Share useful information with peers, sales teams, and management to enhance competitive effectiveness.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in Calibre solutions and/or other commercial PVX tools.
• Understanding of commercial IC physical design flows.
• Ability to uncover new business opportunities and stimulate market growth.
• Advanced understanding of technology/science with the ability to explain and optimize results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting confidently to large audiences.
• Ability to write advanced complex scripts and rule decks.
• Familiarity with job submission for large PV runs in compute farm and/or cloud environment.
• Awareness of competitive tool requirements, net lists/interfaces.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar role within the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of additional EDA tools and solutions.
