As an Application Engineer (AE) specializing in Energy at Bentley Systems, you will play a crucial role in the Solution Engineering team, which acts as a strategic partner to the sales organization. Your primary responsibility will be to build a compelling vision of Bentley's solutions for users and prospects, particularly within some of the largest organizations globally. This position requires you to prepare necessary content and datasets, deliver engaging presentations to showcase product capabilities, and understand user requirements to effectively communicate this knowledge across the organization. In your day-to-day activities, you will serve as the technical liaison between the sales team, user services, and product development teams. You will create effective presentations and demonstrations that illustrate the capabilities, workflows, and value of Bentley's Energy applications. Engaging directly with users, you will conduct discovery sessions to define their requirements and develop content that can be delivered in various formats, whether one-on-one or in larger group settings. Your role will also involve delivering presentations and providing support for corporate sales and marketing events, contributing to written proposal development, and preparing training for users. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing timely feedback on user interactions to enhance sales and marketing efforts, as well as preparing and delivering relevant feedback to the product development team to improve Bentley's products. Staying updated on current releases of Bentley applications and understanding energy application systems and design workflows will be essential for making informed product and solution recommendations. You will also need to keep abreast of material design trends, industry construction trends, and competitor offerings to ensure your presentations and content maintain a competitive edge.
