About the position

The Applications Engineer for Static Timing Analysis at Synopsys is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers in the field of static timing methodologies. This role involves collaborating with customers to solve complex technical problems, conducting training sessions, and assisting the sales team with product demonstrations and evaluations. The engineer will work closely with the NanoTime R&D team to influence technology roadmaps and enhance design flows, ultimately enabling chip design customers to achieve optimal performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to customers for solving day-to-day technical problems related to static timing methodologies.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective users to assess and validate product capabilities.
  • Lead tool training sessions for customers to enhance their understanding and usage of products.
  • Support the sales team through technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Assist in evaluating potential applications of Synopsys products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the NanoTime R&D team to influence technology roadmaps and address design challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in static timing analysis and engineering fundamentals.
  • Solid knowledge of static timing concepts.
  • Exceptional expertise in transistor-level design for debugging circuit-level issues.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
