About the position

The Applications Engineer I - Entry Level position at Seagate Technology is part of the Customer Success team, focusing on ensuring successful transitions of new products and technologies with customer teams. This role involves working with cutting-edge storage technologies and collaborating with various internal teams to address customer needs and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Drive all technical aspects of customer qualification engagements.
• Replicate, analyze, and develop solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams to address customer issues.
• Run tests in customer environments to validate drive/system compatibility.
• Assist in resolving post-qualification customer technical issues.
• Create and present technical information to internal teams.
• Work with customer account teams to incorporate feedback into future product requirements.
• Coordinate activities of other organizations to ensure customer deliverables meet expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology).
• Demonstrated experience testing and resolving concurrent, complex technical issues.
• Project management and tracking experience.
• Ability to work across multiple organizations to achieve deadlines and customer satisfaction.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineering design experience.
• Experience dealing with external customers or suppliers.
• Programming experience.
• Experience with SATA, SAS, and NVMe interfaces and bus analyzers.
• Storage system level experience.
