About the position

The Applications Engineer Intern position at JR Automation offers an opportunity for students pursuing an engineering degree to gain hands-on experience in the automation industry. Interns will assist Applications and Quoting Engineers, working collaboratively with various teams to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated solutions. This internship is part-time and scheduled for the summer of 2025, providing a platform to learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Update CAD model libraries.
• Update reference libraries.
• Develop concepts with the team.
• Support Applications Engineers with proposal development, vendor SOWs (statements of work) and quotes.
• Assist with concept renderings.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Pro Engineer preferred.
• Experience reviewing and understanding drawings.
