Responsibilities

  • Design circuit boards to demonstrate the use and capabilities of integrated circuit products.
  • Provide technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
  • Support sales staff in assessing potential application of company integrated circuit products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
  • Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
  • Provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
  • Ensure the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications.
  • Provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus five years of experience.
  • Three years of experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck or boost converters, battery chargers, and mixed-signal circuits for portable or power electronic products.
  • Three years of experience in component selection, schematic entry and knowledge of PCB layout design.
  • One year of experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar.
  • Three years of experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
  • System understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, SPMI and other high-speed control/data bus examples sufficient to debug, analyze and work with complex integrated circuits.
