About the position

As an Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and support of DC/DC power supplies. Your primary responsibilities will involve working on application circuits, where you will design and develop demo boards for various power products. This position requires you to perform thorough evaluations of new products, ensuring they meet the necessary specifications and performance standards. Additionally, you will provide support for existing products, collaborating closely with field applications engineers and customers to address any technical inquiries or challenges they may face. In this role, you will also be responsible for creating technical documentation, which includes writing detailed reports, preparing presentations, and conducting training sessions for both internal teams and external clients. Your expertise in the field will be essential in conveying complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner, helping to bridge the gap between engineering and customer needs. The position demands a strong foundation in the design and application of switching mode DC/DC power converters. You will need to be proficient in various aspects of power supply design, including magnetic components, input/output filters, semiconductor selection, loop compensation, circuit simulation, PCB layout, and circuit testing. Your ability to model small signal circuits and design control systems will be critical to your success in this role. Furthermore, a solid understanding of isolated power supply designs will enhance your contributions to the team.

  • Proficiency in PCB layout and circuit testing.
  • Good circuit small signal modeling and control design background.
  • Understanding of isolated power supply designs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Minimum MSEE degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience with switching mode DC/DC power converter designs.
