This position is integral to ensuring that the products meet customer specifications and requirements. The engineer will validate product requests and provide technical drawings and specifications to support the sales team. Additionally, the role involves assisting Customer Service with product suitability decisions and interchanges with competitor products. The engineer will also contribute to the development of internal technical literature and training materials for both internal and external stakeholders. In this role, the engineer will provide application engineering support, which includes product selection, compatibility assessments, and problem resolution for Megadyne PT products. The engineer will work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address technical customer requirements and questions, ultimately aiming to increase revenue. Responsibilities also include interpreting technical drawings, reviewing and approving supplier PPAPs, and making necessary dimension and branding changes to comply with company standards. The engineer will utilize engineering software and tools to simulate and analyze belt drive performance under various operating conditions to meet customer needs. The Product Application Engineer will participate in product management team activities, advising on technical aspects and assisting in the planning of new products while managing existing products to enhance the Vitality Index. This role requires proactive engagement with customers to understand their technical requirements and specifications, thereby promoting the Megadyne brand. The engineer will also be responsible for creating and delivering technical training for both internal and external customers and representing Megadyne in industry standard organizations and conventions.
