About the position

As a Staff Applications Engineer at Synopsys, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, working on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of semiconductor design and integration. Your role will involve collaborating closely with customers to integrate leading-edge Interface IP (IIP) into their ASIC SoC/systems, ensuring that they can bring differentiated products to market with reduced risk. You will provide IIP integration guidance throughout the SoC flow, helping to resolve technical challenges and conducting integration reviews at key milestones to ensure successful project completion. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting silicon and system bring-up, addressing any issues that arise during the process, and enhancing the performance, power, and size capabilities of customer applications through effective IP integration. In this dynamic environment, you will stay up-to-date with the latest industry specifications and applications in hot market segments, occasionally traveling to customer sites to provide hands-on support and integration assistance. Your contributions will not only help customers achieve their goals but also drive innovation in the semiconductor industry, maintaining Synopsys' leadership position in chip design and IP integration. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on providing top-notch technical support and guidance, ensuring successful IP integration and silicon bring-up, while fostering strong customer relationships through excellent technical support and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with customers to integrate leading-edge Interface IP (IIP) into their ASIC SoC/systems.
  • Providing IIP integration guidance throughout the SoC flow to resolve technical challenges.
  • Conducting integration reviews at key milestones to ensure successful project completion.
  • Supporting silicon and system bring-up to address any issues that arise during the process.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry specifications and applications in hot market segments.
  • Occasionally traveling to customer sites to provide hands-on support and integration assistance.

Requirements

  • BSEE/MSEE preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry-related direct experience working in MSIP/SerDes/PCIe technologies as part of IP/ASIC/SoC design or implementation.
  • Proficiency in MSIP/SerDes/PCIe technologies as part of IP/ASIC/SoC design or implementation.
  • Experience with RTL coding, simulation/verification, synthesis, floor planning, physical design, and timing closure.
  • Hands-on experience in silicon bring-up and characterization in a system environment.
  • Technical knowledge of Interface IPs such as PCIe, USB, MIPI, HBM DDR, and LPDDR protocols.
