About the position

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This role is pivotal in performing system-level DRAM validation, system characterization, and failure analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of system diagnostic tools and will play a key role in evaluating and developing diagnostic software, as well as system debug and test methodologies. The Applications Engineer will design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and craft custom tools to effectively communicate findings to customers both within and outside of Micron. In this position, you will collaborate closely with other specialists and management within the Compute Design Engineering Group, as well as with individuals from various departments throughout Micron. A significant aspect of the role involves building and developing validation strategies for new technologies, which may include the development of system test methodologies and memory diagnostic tools. You will also be tasked with debugging system and DRAM-related issues, defining and executing system test methodologies, and collaborating with system enablers outside of Micron. Additionally, the Applications Engineer will lead Micron Product Qualifications with both internal and external customers, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The role requires a proactive approach to designing and implementing automation for System Level testing, which is essential for enhancing our testing processes and improving overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system-level DRAM validation, system characterization, and failure analysis.

Requirements
